It is well under manufacturing at Colines a cast line for stretch film of the latest generation Handrollex® series with a web width of 2000 mm.

The line is able to make a production of manual and automatic reels. The formats and sub-formats which can be produced range from the classical 500 mm with a gross weight of 2,5 kg to the smaller 100 mm. At each cycle change up to 16 reels are discharged and are ready to be handled by an automatic boxing system (optional).

At the production speed of over 700 m/min the line can reach a maximum production of 1500 kg/h with thicknesses ranging from 8 micron upwards.

Handrollex-2000 is equipped with an innovative in-line trims regrinding system without repellettizing. This system provides for two independent recoveries for the trims produced by both edges of the film that refeed the extrusion compartment. The advantages of the proposed system are evident in terms of purchase/maintenance/use cost as well as in terms of quality of the product (with reference to the degradation deriving from an added extrusion passage).

The thickness measuring system is optical and the line provides for the complete automatism through a software which manages the die profile and the other components such as the dosing group and the profile control.

The line is guaranteed with the habitual reliability which distinguishes all Colines lines, it is characterized by a user-friendly management thanks to the use of state-of-the-art Siemens touch-screen operator panels and a very easy-to-understand diagnostics for the operator.

What distinguishes Handrollex (1000/2000) from the current standards present on the market is the very high ratio quality/price thanks to the high engineering level of the line. The employment of automatic devices such as: the dosing group, the extrusion die with specific design, the measuring and control system and not least the Handspeedy® winding station will contribute to a further increase of the production performance of the lines and their relative downgauging. In order to reach the target of downgauging without the employment of expensive and difficult to manage multilayer lines it is necessary to pass through an always more complete knowledge of the raw materials used; as a matter of fact there is a growing attention of the company to a continuous and active cooperation with the main producers of raw materials which are having an extremely quick development from the point of view of quality and performance constancy.

In Colines opinion an open-eyed and scrupulous use of suitable raw materials can bring to excellent results from the point of view of product quality and of the physical-mechanical characteristics without necessarily increasing the cost of the product.

In particular, in case of extremely thin thicknesses (8-10-12-14 micron) or of particularly technical products (cling film), the research and the trials on the Handrollex lines have been accompanied by a one-to-one cooperation between Colines and one of the world leading raw materials producers.
