During the last K2016 Show, COLINES® exhibited the new hexagonal bubble forming cylinder for the production of air bubble film.
In the case of a forming cylinder for hexagonal bubbles the distance between two consecutive bubbles is more uniform with a shorter gap. The difference between the two total “empty” surfaces, i.e. the areas occupied by the hexagonal and circular bubble corresponds to an advantage of 15% in terms of air filling, as a result, versus the classic circular bubble, with same material and weight, the hexagonal bubble presents a higher cushion, i.e. shock-absorbing power.
Moreover, another plus point is the higher stiffness, thanks to the planar surface of the hexagonal bubble, granting higher sealing properties of the bubble during suction phase.
