MDO (Machine-direction-orientation unit)

This minimizes the energy consumption as well.

The new concept barrier screws allow an easy extrusion with high output of an extremely wide range of products, from the tougher heterophasic block copolymers (MFl<1g/10')
to the softer copolymers/terpolymers (MFl>12 g/10'), LDPE, LLDPE, Metallocene, MDPE, PA, EVA and high crystalline homopolymers.
PERFORM-EX® extruders are equipped with IR heaters.
COLINES® THICK&THIN CAST UNIT
COLINES® has also developed a very innovative system for the production of high thickness CPP film up to 400 microns,
consisting in a sort of calender unit applied directly on the cast unit, which at the same time guarantees perfect film planarity and evenness.
This system, available also for retrofitting of existing COLINESÂ® lines,
is a breakthrough in the production of film or sheets and guarantees top quality CPP film production in the range from 15 up to 400 microns.
This simple and reliable solution in itself, constitutes a real revolution in the CPP world as it introduces a number of concepts which are known in other sectors but had never been applied to cast film extrusion.
2AB® DUAL AIR BLADE SYSTEM
The system is able to remove a quantity of air, including smokes and waxes, which is 3 times greater if compared with other solutions of vacuum box.
It guarantees an improvement of film stability and perfect adhesion of the film to the first chill roll without any longitudinal strip or wrinkle on the film.
BIGMOUTH® IN-LINE EDGE TRIMS RECOVERY SYSTEM
- The only up-to-date solution (no pelletizing, no side extruder, no vertical scraptruder)
Energy consumption is about 4 kW/h
- It allows in-line recycling up to 50% of extruder throughput thus avoiding to reduce extruder capacity.
